Biographie / Biography :

Informations personnelles / Personal informations : Frank Lasch est professeur associé en entrepreneuriat au GSCM-Montpellier Business School, France (Groupe Sup de Co Montpellier). Ses recherches portent sur la relation entre environnement socio-économique et création d’entreprises, sur la survie et la croissance des start-ups, et sur l’entrepreneuriat dans le secteur TIC. Il est titulaire d’un doctorat en géographie économique obtenu en co-tutelle franco-allemande (Montpellier et Regensburg). / Frank Lasch is associate professor at GSCM since October 2003, Research Director since May 2007 and Head of the Research center (CEROM). He holds a bi-national doctorate in Economic Geography (2002: University of Regensburg, Germany & University of Montpellier III, France) and a French habilitation of supervising doctoral research in Management science (2007: “HDR”, University of Montpellier III, France). Major topics of research are the relationship between entrepreneurship and the regional environment, start-up survival and growth, entrepreneurship in the ICT sector. He is editorial board member of the Journal of Enterprising Communities: People and Places in the Global Economy, regional editor of Europe for the International Journal of Business and Globalization, and ad-hoc reviewer for journals as Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, International Journal of Entrepreneurship & Small Business, Gestion 2000. His research has been published in such journals as Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, International Journal of Entrepreneurship & Small Business, Management Decision, International Journal of Business Research, Finance Contrôle Stratégie, Revue Française de Gestion, etc. He has co-organized several workshops and recently organized the annual entrepreneurship conference IECER (2007: Interdisciplinary European Conference on Entrepreneurship Research).
