He is currently Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He received a doctoral degree in Business Administration at the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland, and has a masters degree in Mathematics. He is interested in social networks, such as brand communities, and their influence on individual consumer behavior, and his emotional research focuses on regulatory effects and anticipated emotions. Algesheimer is also interested in methodological topics, such as structural equation modeling, micro and macro (multilevel) effects, and network analysis. He has significant consulting experience in the automobile and consumer goods industries. In 2004, René received an award for his doctoral dissertation on brand communities from the German Marketing Association. |
