AIMS OF THE DEGREE COURSE

 

Continuing on from the DESS (Master’s degree) in Production Management, created in 1992, the goal of the Master’s degree course with specialisation Strategic Production Management (MSP) is to provide a bac+5 course (a degree after 5 years higher education) for directors and top-level executives in the fields of industrial management skills, with a triple focus (strategic, organisational and managerial) in the areas of production management, logistics and supply chain management, industrial information systems, industrial management control, etc.

 

The course is aimed at two groups of students:

• Students from an economics or management background (Management Sciences, Economic Sciences, Accounting-Finance, services-based IUPs (“Institut Universitaire Professionnalisé”, university institute for vocational training) or MSTs (“Maîtrise des Science et Techniques”, Master’s in Science and Technology), Business Schools, etc), who want to acquire a specialisation in the field of industrial management;

• Students from a science or technology background (Science, Technology IUPs (“Institut Universitaire Professionnalisé”, university institute for vocational training) or MSTs (“Maîtrise des Science et Techniques”, Master’s in Science and Technology), Engineering Schools, etc), for whom the Master’s degree with the MSP specialisation offers management training and, as a consequence, a “double skill”.

 

In addition, taken as either an initial course or as further education, the Master’s degree with specialisation MSP is suitable for both students continuing their studies and executives who are either working or searching for a job involving further education.
