HEALTH - SECURITY - ADMINISTRATION

Three issues that concern us all.

Finding Out is the First Act of Prevention

The site

Located in the northern part of the town of Montpellier, near the General Council of the Hérault department, Lycée Jean Monnet and SANOFI Synthélabo Laboratories, Montpellier Business School is set in an 18.5-acre tree-filled campus about 5 kilometres from the town-centre. The Institution comprises a built-up area of 12,000m² divided into four buildings. The Group is surrounded by an extensive transportation network, which enables easy access by different methods of transportation – car, public transport and the tramway.

It has 400 car parking spaces, 6 of which are reserved for disabled people. A bicycle park and an area reserved for motorbikes are also available for students and staff.

Opening - closing times

The Group’s campus is open from 7:30 AM in the morning to 10 PM in the evening, Monday to Friday, and from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday.

The “C.C.I Alco” outside gate is closed at 7 PM precisely. The “Main Entrance” gate is closed at 10 PM precisely. From 7 PM (during the week) and Saturday morning, there is screening by the Security Service.

Campus security

The Montpellier Business School campus is under video-surveillance (in compliance with law no.95-73 of 21 January 1995). 40 cameras are currently in service. They are strategically located over the whole campus.

A Security Service, consisting of 2 security guards, a dog handler (at night) and a Security Manager, is in place on the campus. During the campus opening hours, the security guards monitor the premises and parking areas and, when necessary, the areas around the campus.

Billposting is regulated and distributing pamphlets on the campus is very restricted. In all cases, you must contact the Security Manager.

The various training courses offered

Courses for first-aiders (“Sauveteurs Secouriste du Travail”: SSTs) are given by the Health – Security – Administration Manager. Since the beginning of 2006, the Montpellier Business Schoolcampus has had 21 first-aiders on duty. A further training course is scheduled for the end of 2006.

Fire-extinguisher courses, for all Training Centre staff, started in April 2006. These courses will continue through to 2008, so that all the staff are trained.
