Jérémie None did his final year of the Bachelor Programme in Buenos Aires in Argentina, preparing there a double diploma in foreign trade. His academic report supervised by Dr. Vicente Garnelo* is used today as course material at the University of Belgrano and should soon be published in hardcopy format**. « He endeavours to foster the knowledge of and the reflection concerning the EU and Mercosur in an appropriate context : 61st and 20th anniversaries of the Schuman Declaration and of the Treaty of Asuncion, is boosting negotiations with a view to conclude an agreement on subregional association », explains Jérémie NONE.
Support the attractiveness and the development of territories
An interest for the European Union, and more generally for unifying projects, derived from the same source as Jérémie himself : the Lozère. « Strongly attached to the promotion of the interests of rural and mountain regions, I am very keen to serve the general interest by defending those issues which are vital for the attractiveness and the development of these exceptional zones », develops the young man. The practical fieldwork carried out in the framework of his 2nd and 3rd year placements with the Lozère Member of Parliament, Pierre Morel-A-L'Huissier, made him progressively more aware of the importance of the European Union in the future of these zones and the need for «a Europe in direct contact with the territories ».
From the Montpellier Business School to Sciences Po
A discovery that will lead him directly to a Master 2 « Applied European Politics » at Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence. « This choice is in perfect harmony with my professional project which I have had the opportunity to consolidate throughout my studies with the help of the teaching and administrative staff and the management of the Montpellier Business School and through decisive encounters », states Jérémie.
He is responsible today for questions concerning the French presence and influence in the European institutions at the SGAE, an inter-ministerial service placed under the direct authority of the Prime Minister. « I would like to continue increasing my skills in the sphere of European business and politics while keeping in mind a quotation of John F. Kennedy delivered on the occasion of his nomination speech : « Do not ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country » » , he concludes.
Jérémie had chosen the Montpellier Business School Bachelor Programme as he had been : « seduced by its multidisciplinarity, its never-ending openness to international business and its capacity to facilitate integration into the workplace ». He has managed to take full advantage of this.
