Up till now the ropes for success put in place by the Montpellier Business School were aimed at secondary and high school students. This partnership broadens their scope of action. From the start of the next academic year, the students entering the Grande Ecole Master Programme will have the possibility to be selected on their academic record : « They will benefit from an individual follow-up of their results and their professional project by an executive of a passeport avenir partner company, in this case Orange in Montpellier », explains Caroline Cazi, programme manager Diversity and Sustainable Development at the Montpellier Business School, permanent contact for Passeport avenir.
Fight against social determinism
« Passeport avenir » accompanies high school students and undergraduates throughout their studies : preparation to enter a Grande Ecole, individual tutoring by company executive managers, information concerning professions... « The young persons that I accompany are afraid to sit the competitive entrance exams. » describes Jean-Christophe Arguillère, President of the Training Pole of the Montpellier CCI and Regional Director of Orange, participant in Passeport avenir. They ask themselves many questions about the presentation of their CV, the way to dress for the oral exams, the jury members ». In 2009, 92% of the preparatory class students followed individually by a « Passeport avenir » executive succeeded in entering a school.
