On the programme: the large presence of professional experience in all the programmes.
During their stay, our Thais visitors were presented our training offer and the academic functioning of the Montpellier Business School. They were very interested by the links tied by the Montpellier Business School with its partner companies and the local economic fabric.
« As a professor, I have been extremely sensitive to the importance that you attach to practical experience in your training programmes. In Thailand, higher education is purely theoretical », commented Krit Jarinto, teacher at the Burapha Graduate School of Commerce. Indeed, placements and trainee contracts do not exist in Thailand. « To develop that, we must learn to build a relationship with companies. », concluded the teacher.
After the theory the practice
The presentation of the apprentice channels and the relations with the companies were illustrated by a visit to two of the major partners of the Montpellier Business School : Auchan and BNP Paribas. A way to present them what is the real meaning of company partnerships.
They also had the possibility to have discussions with apprentice students. « There is a lot to be gained in putting in place this system, declared Rana Pongruengphant, Dean of the International College of Burapha, before looking to the future : we are going to envisage this at Burapha, we would like to develop it for our Master. »
The visit of the Burapha University delegation follows the signing of the partnership between the Montpellier Business School, the Institute of Business Administration of Montpellier II and the Graduate School of Commerce of the University of Burapha. « This partnership is very interesting for us. It's the first time that we collaborate in this way with a foreign Management Grande Ecole. », explains Banpot Wiroonratch, Dean of the Graduate School of Commerce.
