Education Financing






Tuition fees at Montpellier ESC for 2000/2001 are FRF 37,000 for year 3 of the Undergraduate programme (first study year), FRF 36,500 for year 4 (second study year) and FRF 39,500 for the Graduate programme (third and fourth study years).

Students are not required to buy their own computers.

Depending on their personal circumstances, Montpellier ESC students have access to a variety of assistance to finance their studies:

" French national higher education grant.

" Loans on trust of FRF 3,000 to FRF 15,000 granted by the Montpellier ESC Social Fund.
" Special no-interest loans for students from within the Montpellier Chamber of Commerce and Industry district.

" Supervision : students in year 4 of the Undergraduate programme may work with pay 10 h/week for the ESC. Supervisors are chosen on the basis of social criteria.

" Teaching assistants : students in year 4 of the Undergraduate programme may work with pay 10 h/week as School teaching assistants. Teaching assistants are chosen on the basis of their academic results.

" J. Lambert Foundation : this foundation, which is under the aegis of the Foundation of France, funds grants for students of Schools of Business Studies.

" Practical year : between two years of study, Montpellier ESC students spend a year working full time in a company. Their earnings from this year help to fund their budget.

" Associations : Junior Enterprise, Epsilon and other school associations offer students a variety of short-term, occasional jobs outside study hours (questionnaire management, supermarket demonstrations, etc.).

" Student jobs : the School lists small part-time job vacancies available in various fields (especially catering and distribution) and proposes them to its students.

" Bank loans : banks loan money at a low rate of interest, to be paid back after an exemption period. Montpellier ESC negotiates conditions with its bank partners on behalf of the students, including wherever possible and under certain conditions, dispensing with the necessity for a guarantor.
