Montpellier Business School, unique Management Grande Ecole in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, is entering a key stage in its history. We have built our programmes, established our quality standards, obtained the major recognition of academic excellence with the AACSB accreditation, climbed up the rankings of the Grandes Ecoles for the Bachelor and the Master.
It is time today to put to good use our achievements and to highlight the role of our staff, our partners and our students. Our wish is that each newsletter be conceived and received as was Ariane's thread, uniting all those who are by our sides, working each day to infuse life into the Grande Ecole that is the Montpellier Business School.
To our graduates, with the graduation ceremony for the Bachelor of the prestigious University of La Trobe awarded to our Master Grande Ecole and Bachelor students, or that of the MBA diplomas, at the end of January, with its clip on the home page of the internet site.
To our partner universities and enterprises. You are joining us in larger and larger numbers. The section "partners" is totally dedicated to you. In this edition, we address again the signing of the important partnership with the SNCF Group and the agreement between the Montpellier Business School, the Montpellier University Institute of Business Administration and the Thai University of Burapha which will make it possible to launch an innovative triple diploma in South-East Asia.
To our students. With the deep involvement in the "Sup de Cur" operation for the fight against cancer, with the first place won by one of our students, Montpellier Business School's ambassador in l'Oréal's Reveal competition, we honour your professional qualities, your group cohesion and your personal involvement in the citizen actions. We address the subject in "Student Life", dedicated to your actions and your successes.
To our staff. We have chosen, this month, to honour Lionel Rivière, Director of the Bachelor Programme, recently awarded the distinguished grade of Knight of the Order of Academic Decorations. Find it in the subject "Managerial Innovation" which lets you share the news of the teaching and administrative teams.
Finally, in the section "Managerial Innovation", we append our signature, our "trademark" of education and research.
Graduates, enterprises, universities, students, administrative and teaching teams, associations, you are this Grande Ecole Business School, each one of you is a stone in the edifice we are building together, based on values that we are proud to share.
Please accept our gratitude for all the work you have done, for your confidence and your support.
Long live this newsletter !

SNCF Partnership
The SNCF and the Montpellier Business School signed a partnership agreement, Thursday 24th March. "Our partnership agreements enable us to put our commitments into execution by confronting them with reality", developed Didier Jourdan, Dean of the Montpellier Business School. He expressed his delight at the entry of the SNCF as a major actor in the quality circle of Montpellier Business School's privileged partners.
Jean Christophe Arguillère, President of the Education and Training Centre of the CCIT, insisted on the "interest for both parties to make this a vigorous partnership, to achieve concrete results". The agreement plans notably to facilitate access to the enterprise for trainees, apprentices and future graduates, the participation of the SNCF to present its various professions or work on research themes such as the experimentation of regional express train journeys for one euro.
"The SNCF has evolved a lot. We exchange ideas, we accept criticism and we need the contribution of grey matter. For all these reasons, I believe we can do great things together", declared Jean Ghedira, Regional Director of the SNCF.

Carmina Burana : « Culture, an opportunity for the enterprise »
The Montpellier Business School, along with the Montpellier CCIT, took advantage of the concert tour of Carmina Burana, of which we are partners, performing in Montpellier, to invite a hundred of its partners : the Executive Comittee of the Foundation of the Montpellier Business School, the Regional Council, le local education authority, the universities of Montpellier, the Joffre and La Merci high schools, Adecco, BNP Paribas, the Crédit Agricole du Languedoc, Decathlon, Dell, FACE Hérault, IBM, La Poste, SNCF, Société Générale
The evening began with a conference-debate on the theme "Culture, an opportunity for the enterprise", developed by Frank Dompietrini, the producer of the show, and introduced by the President of the Montpellier CCIT, Ms Gabrielle Deloncle.
By its choice of where to perform, large concert halls and not opera houses, by its educational approach (45-minute conference by Eve Ruggieri to present and explain the work to the public), by its involvement of enterprises as patrons, and finally, by its policy of offering prices for everybody (a policy of diversity and equal opportunity), the choice of Carmina Burana was obvious for the Montpellier Business School which shares these same values.

Communication Breakfasts
Communication is one of the activities being particularly developed within the Montpellier Business School. Didier Jourdan has announced this in the Editorial of this newsletter, and this medium illustrates the changes already made or in process. A department has been created, a team put in place, a strategy adopted and implemented.
Nevertheless, "The quality of the communication system, currently being created, is highly dependent on the news. We need you all to participate and we strongly encourage you to send us all the information you have, to share it with us", insists Catherine Pech, Communication Director of the Montpellier Business School.
Hence the organisation once per month of the Communication Breakfasts. Gathered round the table, the communication correspondents pass on the news concerning their sector and the key events to come, and exchange ideas on good communication practices. "A wealth of information which we can use as a springboard to highlight the dynamism of the Montpellier Business School activities", continues the Communication Director.

Montpellier Business School students distinguished by L'Oréal
The Montpellier Business School finished well ahead of the ten most reputed French Management Grandes Ecoles (Montpellier Business School, IESEG, EM Normandy, ESC Toulouse, ESC Bordeaux, Rouen BS, ESC Grenoble, Euromed, SKEMA and ESC Dijon) participating in the Reveal competition, organised by l'Oréal. Reveal, an online business game, nominated an ambassador within each school responsible for "recruiting" his or her classmates to get them to register and participate. Our ambassador, Alexia Chareyre, student in the Grande Ecole Master programme, made a "fantastic achievement", according to the terms used by l'Oréal, by recruiting a total of 320 students to register for the Montpellier Business School, compared to 253 for the school arriving second.
L'Oréal uses Reveal as a recruitment aid for its future trainees according to the results obtained by the participants. Among the selected profiles, Julien Polidori, final year student in the Grande Ecole Master programme, has been selected in the industry category. Both Alexia and Julien were invited to the closing day of the competition to meet the Chief Executive Officer and the managers of l'Oréal, Friday 25th March, at Clichy. Two students worth following !

The MBA on the Web
On the occasion of the MBA prize-giving and graduation ceremony, the Montpellier Business School pulled out all the stops in making a video clip dedicated to the programme. Don't hesitate to have a quick look at it, or even more. It's well worth it !

Dr Wilkinson, Associate Dean of La Trobe University: « We are delighted by the AACSB accreditation obtained by the Montpellier Business School, it is a great mark of prestige and distinction.
