Montpellier Business School Wins Triple Accreditation
This is a major step forward for the future of our school: our recent triple accreditation (AACSB, AMBA for the executive MBA and EPAS-EFMD) is a guarantee of academic excellence and of our international recognition. This triple accreditation is our "Triple A," the result of Montpellier's continuous efforts, which were rewarded with a new accreditation every year since 2010. The AMBA, awarded in April 2012, confirms the excellence of our executive MBA. Only 190 business schools, located in 75 countries, including a dozen in France, have earned this recognition. The AMBA audit team, composed of representatives of European business schools (Cass Business School, ESCP-EAP, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School), allowed us to develop the new positioning of our executive MBA focused on managerial innovation with a Mediterranean geographical focus.
The news regarding the executive MBA is combined with news in other programs. In September 2012, students who will have completed their first year in the master's program at ESC Montpellier can register without additional tuition fee at the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises (IAE) in Montpellier to obtain a license in technology management. An opportunity that is almost unique in France. Montpellier Business School, which is already a partner of 144 business schools in 35 countries, is also strengthening its cooperation with Thai universities after concluding an agreement with Burapha University last year. Also in Thailand, an agreement with the Mahasarakham University to welcome students into our bachelor's program has just been signed.
Another event during the first semester of 2012: the launch of the first fundraiser of Montpellier Business School's Foundation under the aegis of the Fondation de France. Chaired by Jean-Philippe André, CEO of Haribo, the campaign was officially launched April 10 at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. The Foundation aims to raise nearly a million euros in three years to increase the funds to finance diversity and equal opportunity, and to enable the creation of a new Managerial Innovation chair.
