We strongly advise the participants to change their local currency into euros before their arrival in Montpellier. The Dollar currency is not accepted in any shops in Montpellier.

Transport

Montpellier is the best served destination from Paris. Only 3H15 away by train and 1H15 by plane, Montpellier is at the capital’s gates. 


By train By Plane By Road



By Train: The SNCF railway station is located in the city centre. Some discount fares are available on request with our registration form, they allow 10 to 30% discount, depending on the time of travel, they are only valid in France, you need to tick the box “I would like to receive    French Railway form for discount fare” on the registration form and write the number of forms you wish to receive.

  • Paris - Montpellier in 3h15, 11 daily high speed trains (TGV).
  • Marseille - Montpellier in 1h30  
  • Barcelone – Montpellier in 2 h 20
 
By Plane: The International Airport of Montpellier "Méditerranée" is 10 km from the city. From the airport, a shuttle bus will deposit you in 15mn in the city centre from where you can get the tram to the conference centre, le Corum. Taxis are also available.

  • Paris (CDG and ORY) 15 daily direct return flights (1 hour flight) with  Air France
  • London Gatwick 50 Min flight with British Airways  (4 daily flight)  
  • London Stansted 1H00 with Ryanair (daily flight)
  • Frankfurt: 1H35 with Ryanair  (daily flight)
  • Copenhaguen 3H 50 with Cimber

-Air Via Paris:

  • Basel – 3H30 with Air France (4 daily flights)

By road : The motorway network allows easy access from the main cities of Europe:
  • Paris 450 miles, via the A9 and A75 motorways
  • Barcelona 220 miles, via the A9 motorway
  • Geneva 300 miles
  • Milan 400 miles A8 – A9


Transport within Montpellier

   It is very easy to get around in Montpellier by tram and by bus https://www.montpellier-agglo.com/tam/index2.php. Le Corum is located in the centre of Montpellier, close to the railway/ bus station, tramway, the world-famous Place de la Comédie, and within only 20 minutes of the airport and Mediterranean beaches.
