The teaching programme
The Montpellier E.I. 4-year teaching programme leads to a double degree: BBA Hons of the Montpellier Sup de Co Group and a university diploma (Bachelor, Licenciatura, Diplomkaufmann - FH or Diplombetriebswirt) from one of the partner business schools.

The validity of these international qualifications is crucial - it testifies to the academic level attained with perfect clarity throughout the world.

Year 1

The first year of the Montpellier E.I. programme is a combination of academic and business training. It comprises:

- teaching of basics and the development of an international approach in all disciplines.

- a group business project (Alpha)

- a business discovery project (Discovery-Action).

Year 2

The second year of the Montpellier E.I. programme comprises coursework, business projects and a period of work experience in a company. This year is designed to advance knowledge and practice of international business management. It includes:

- general teaching to give students a broader view and more specific knowledge of international business.

- business projects (Télémaque, International Phénix)

- Applied training, preferably undertaken abroad, to involve students very practically in an international assignment.

Year 3

The third year of the Montpellier E.I. programme is spent in a company. This places students in a real-life situation and immerses them full-time in a business organisation via a long-term international assignment.

This work experience can be spent in France or abroad, with a private or public company.

Year 4

This year can be spent in France or abroad.

If in a foreign partner university, students take the courses of the host university and can take a foreign diploma (Bachelor, Licenciatura or Diplombetriebswirt/-in).

In France, at Montpellier E.I., the final year is divided into two parts:
- coursework in management disciplines
- professional concentration to prepare to be fully operational at the start of a career.

The year culminates with the final part of the curriculum: concentration work experience. This lasts at least 6 months and usually leads to the first effective employment.

The academic and business programme at Montpellier E.I. is part of the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) which gives immediate validation of results of exams, projects and work experience undertaken in France or a foreign partner university. Recognition of studies followed is mutual in all partner colleges.

So if their final year is spent abroad (international option), students follow the courses of the partner university, take the exams and pass their foreign diploma. The principle of validation gives them the BBA Hons of Montpellier E.I.

If their final year is spent in Montpellier (France option), students can also acquire a bona fide foreign university diploma: they take the foreign courses by e-learning and validate them by online examinations.
