Our program runs for 7 weeks and is set-up in 2 major sessions:

Session 1 at Montpellier Business School July 2013 (July 8th-26th)

This session focuses on academic courses, professional support and development, French language lessons  and cultural activities.

Lectures will be provided by a mix of Montpellier Business School lecturers and top specialists.
The course is 100% English language (apart from French classes of course). 

Professional support & development

We will offer 2 - 2hour group sessions , focusing on:
➜ Job market for graduates in France: French recruitment methods and professional social networks in France
➜ What you need to know about working for a company in France

You will also be offered an individual professional counseling session centered on your personal career plan.

Company visits

Montpellier Business School entertains a number of partnerships with leading local and international firms. We will offer the opportunity to take part in 6 full visits for 3 hours based on a specific corporate theme.

Cultural activities

We have lined up an exciting range of cultural activities to make your stay with us memorable.

Week 1: Guided tour of Montpellier and area followed by welcome dinner at beach restaurant
Week 2: Visit of historical Nimes and the heritage Roman Pont du Gard
Weekend in the City of Lights, Paris, including a comprehensive Guided Tour of Paris, lunch in a Paris hotspot.
Week 3: Visit of the river Hérault, and the historical village St Guilhem  du Désert.

And we couldn’t bring you over to France without offering a oenology class! You will discover some of the area’s best wines in the Pic Saint Loup mountain area behind Montpellier, and enjoy a gourmet dinner to close the session.

Session 2: August 2013 – 1 month internship

We aim to help you gain professional experience in your chosen field. You will either be given the opportunity to conduct an interesting 1 month internship within one of our partner firms (based in or around Montpellier, or in Paris), or be able to choose to take part in an entrepreneurship project, with a couple of other attendees.

Internship: once you have confirmed your enrolment for Business Summer School, we will schedule a phone/skype conversation to discuss your career plan and resume, and match you with one of the internships on offer.
During Session 1 you will receive individual coaching to prepare you for the professional side of the course. Two group sessions are also scheduled to help you gain understanding of how companies in France work and what is expected of interns.

Entrepreneurship project: Montpellier Business School is in touch with the local business incubator and as such will be able to offer small groups of students the opportunity to work on a project to carry a new business. This will be discussed during follow-up call once you have confirmed enrollment.

Accomodation

Course fees include accommodation in July during Session 1. You will be housed in a modern facility minutes away from Montpellier Business School, in fully equipped double apartments. Conveniences include several swimming pools, a restaurant and a snack bar.
